EXCLUSIVE: Longtime TV agent Tyler Kroos has joined the legions pivoting to management with the launch of Kroos Entertainment Group, a boutique firm focused on elevating award-winning documentary filmmakers, non-fiction production companies, format creators, and cultural tastemakers.
Based in Los Angeles, the company opens its doors with a roster that includes acclaimed directors Dawn Porter(HBO’s Eyes on the Prize III, Luther: Never Too Much) and Alex Stapleton (Netflix’s upcoming multi part Diddy documentary, Amazon’s Reggie and upcoming Terrell Owens feature doc), along with television personality and cultural commentator Karamo Brown, who stars in Netflix’s Queer Eye and hosts the daytime syndicated talk show Karamo.
The company also reps the directing duo of Daniel Sivan and Mor Loushy, whose recent Netflix release American Manhunt: The Search for Osama bin Laden debuted at No. 1 on the platform and is currently one of its highest-rated docuseries of the year.
With over 18 years of experience at ICM Partners and CAA, Kroos is widely known for his ability to identify and nurture breakthrough talent in the non-fiction space. His shift from agent to manager marks a move toward a more personalized, hands-on approach to career strategy and brand development and taps into his experience as a producer.
