EXCLUSIVE: UTA has added an agent to its creator team in London.
Olivia Basso has joined as Creator Agent and will work alongside Shelby Schenkman and Beth Heard in the team that mainly works with digital talent.
Basso was previously at UK agency InterTalent, where she looked after TikTok stars Brooke and Jess, podcaster Grace Beverley, and digital creator Olivia Neill. She was upped to agent last year.
The UTA team she is joining has been growing of late and reps the likes of Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, Jack Edwards, Madeline Argy, Leah Halton, Grace Campbell, Tolami Benson, RedHanded and Lewis Goodall. The team is “a central part of the company’s international strategy,” according to UTA.
Oren Rosenbaum, Partner and Co-Head of Creators at the U.S. agency, said: “London has quickly become one of the most exciting hubs for creator talent, and our team here is scaling to meet that demand. In just the past year, we’ve seen extraordinary growth in the UK, both in the size of our roster and the quality of talent we represent. Olivia’s track record in guiding digital voices to build powerful, multi-platform brands makes her an incredible addition as we continue expanding UTA’s international creator business.”
Basso added: “Having worked with some of the UK’s most innovative digital voices, I’ve seen first-hand how creators are reshaping entertainment, media and commerce. UTA’s global network and vision will allow me to help clients unlock even greater opportunities across content, partnerships and new ventures. I can’t wait to get started.”
In June, UTA promoted partner Darnell Strom to head up the agency’s UK office and oversee its continued expansion into key markets across EMEA.
