Vanessa Bryant shares how her daughter Capri follows Kobe Bryant’s footsteps
Vanessa Bryant will always honor the legacy of her late husband, Kobe Bryant.
More than five years have passed since the NBA star died at age 41 in a helicopter collision with him and Vanessa’s 13-year-old daughter Gigi Bryant and seven others, his wife has paid tribute to the Kobe 47th birthday pair.
“We love and miss you and Gigi so much,” Vanessa wrote on Instagram on August 23rd along with a photo of her thrown kissing a basketball legend on her cheek. “Send our love to you. Happy birthday, baby.”
Vanessa’s emotional homage to Kobe comes just a month later, as the mom of 43-year-old mom (22-year-old Natalia Bryant, 8, and Capri Kobe Bryant) gets a glimpse of his youngest following in the footsteps of his movement.
“Like a father, like a daughter,” she wrote in a July 24th Instagram post. Capri’s split image shows her middle name nodding to her father – mimicking Kobe’s posture while holding a basketball. And if her spot-on pose wasn’t enough evidence, Vanessa called her little one the nicknames “Baby Mamba” and “Coco Bean.”
