EXCLUSIVE: Former NFL star turned actor Vernon Davis (Please Don’t Feed the Children), Malika Blessing (Wicked City), influencer-comedian TravQue (Still Here), and Noah Abbott (Neighborhood Alert) are leading cast in horror-thriller feature film, On Paper.
Written by Randall Rydell Russell (The Hostage), the story follows a struggling screenwriter who finds his latest script mirroring real-life murders, plunging him into a paranoid spiral. As his imagination takes a delusional and dark turn, he must untangle whether he’s inspired by a killer, haunted by one, or becoming one himself. Production is underway in Los Angeles.
The project marks the feature film directorial debut of Amanda Niqole, known for the successful national tour of play Secrets and the Off-Broadway production of Colorblind.
On Papercomes from producing partners Jaqueline Fleming (Wrong Place, Wrong Time) and T. Bankolé (The Dutchman) under their new At The Kitchen Table production banner.
Current NFL player Deatrich Wise Jr. of the Washington Commanders is also on board as executive producer with additional producers Chris Beal (Bel-Aire) and Shalina Murrell.
Carrie Bernans (The Color Purple), G. Anthony Joseph (Ballerina Assassin), Jerrel O’Neal (Three Ways), Chris Camaj (Blue Bloods), and Cookie Mazle (Strong Hawk: My Sister’s Keeper) round out the supporting cast.
“Working with this cast and crew is truly special and the creativity is a killer good time. I’m proud of the movie we’re making and believe audiences will connect with it,” added Davis.
