Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled key details of its upcoming separation with leadership and the names of the two new companies.
Streaming & Studios which will be home to Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Gaming Studios, as well as their legendary film and television libraries, will be called Warner Bros., “honoring the legacy of more than a century of industry-defining storytelling,” WBD said.
Global Networks including CNN, TNT Sports in the U.S., Discovery, and free-to-air channels across Europe, the Discovery+ streaming service and Bleacher Report (B/R), will be called Discovery Global.
WBD President and CEO David Zaslav will hold the same title at the new Warner Bros., with Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca will be co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.
Casey Bloys new title will be chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max.
Bruce Campbell will be Chief Operating Officer
James Gunn and Peter Safran will each be co-chairman and CEO of DC Studios
JB Perrette, CEO & President of Streaming and Games
Avi Saxena, Chief Technology Officer (reporting to Perrette)
Channing Dungey, Chairman & CEO, Warner Bros. TV Group
Robert Gibbs will be Chief Communications & Public Affairs Officer.
As reported, Gunnar Wiedenfels, currently CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, will serve as President and CEO of the new TV group with: Luis Silberwasser, Chairman and CEO, TNT Sports annd Mark Thompson, Chairman and CEO, CNN Worldwide.
Gerhard Zeiler, will be President, US, UK & Germany, Discovery+ and Chief Content Officer.
Scott Miller will be President, Distribution and Bobby Voltaggio will be President, US Ad Sales Platform Monetization and Ryan Gould, President, US Ad Sales GTM, both reporting to Zeiler. Fulvia Nicoli, Executive Vice President, Content Strategy & Insights also reports to Zeiler.
