EXCLUSIVE: Cameras have started rolling in Los Angeles on Waxman, a horror flick from writer-director Thomas J. Churchill, and starring Frank Stallone and Jon Abrahams.
The film’s synopsis reads: Waxman follows Detective Danny Murphy, whose desperate actions ignite a nightmare, culminating in the return of a vengeful serial killer after his death. Detective Murphy is spooked by a theory but is determined to find all the pieces to figure out how to end the carnage of this notorious serial killer in hopes of saving another life. Including the ones he loves. How has he returned? How do you catch someone who is already dead? The questions permeate Murphy’s every thought. Aligned with all the traits of horror icons from the past.
The film also stars Carlo Mendez (Dexter: Original Sin), Shar Jackson (Moesha, Good Burger), Scott Schwartz (A Christmas Story Christmas), Christiana Leucas (The Last Stand), and Jody Quigley (Impuratus) alongside Sharna Burgess (Dancing with the Stars).
The cast is rounded out by Rachel Pizzolato (3 Killer Pigs, Round the Decay), Charlie Schlatter (18 Again, Diagnosis Murder), James Pratt (Malibu Crush, 3 Killer Pigs), Tank Jones (Amityville Uprising, Paul’s Promise), Laurene Landon (Maniac Cop 1 & 2), David Castro, Dez Cuchiara, Savoy Bailey, Guxci, Grace Swanson, Georgie Leahy, Alyssa Mei Liu, Montana Victoria, Brandon Modelo, Mark Hoadley, Sonya Krueger, Ranen Navat, and rapper-actor Steve Troublesome Castill.
The film’s co-producers also include Carlo Mendez, James Pratt, Alessandra Manias, Toni D’Antonio, Sharna Burgess, Giuseppe Tissino, and Claudio Zorenon. It will be line-produced by Cinnamon Hoobler, executive produced by Guy Quigley, and ThunderSmoke Media.
