Wayne Rooney revealed when he believes that Manchester United’s decline continues under the onset of Reuben Amorim, and that the two departures have begun it.
Rooney presented a podcast to Rio Ferdinand, asking the club “what is planned here?” before speaking to his previous teammate in 2010 about his transfer request.
And the United legend considers it a point that the club has never truly recovered, despite winning the Premier League title in 2012/2013.
Rooney told Ferdinand: “I don’t think it’s been addressed in 2010, and it’s not addressed since 2010. I think fans saw it.

“We obviously won the league in 2013, and there were obviously a lot of changes. Commercially, social media, everything changed. But when we lost Ronaldo and Tevez, I think we were clearly in Robin for a few years, but from that moment on, there was no such group of forwards in the club.
“Before my time, look with Teddy, with Solscael, Cory and Yorkie. Then you have me, Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Saha. At that moment, there was no group of forwards in the club where everything could win your game.
