According to reports, Liverpool approved the sale of Alexis Mac Alister’s 102 million euros (£155 million) to Real Madrid in 2026.
The Reds made their big moves in the summer transfer market, with Alexander Isaac, Florian Wiltz, Jeremy Flippon, Hugo Echicicke, Milos Kerquez and Giovanni Leoni all coming for big money.
Liverpool also moved many players to reclaim some of the money spent with two major names alongside Louis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, but received a fee from Real Madrid to allow Trent Alexander Arnold to play in the Club World Cup.
And Red is once again under threat from Real Madrid in his free transfer to Laliga outfits and a link to Ibrahima Conate in the upcoming summer transfer with linked Ibrahima Conate.
Currently, both Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are being touted as potential future signatures of the Xabi Alonso aspect.
When asked about La Liga’s potential future earlier this year, Mac Allister replied:

“It’s a country I really like and I’ve visited it several times. Above all, it’s very similar to Argentina, due to its language and culture. I definitely want to play in Spain one day.
“But now I’m very comfortable with Liverpool and don’t think about what will happen in the future.”
Mac Allister’s father also spoke of the potential move from Liverpool to La Liga, “At this point, I don’t think so (I’m leaving Liverpool). Time says. Alexis is very happy where he is. He lives in Robertson, Gomez, four blocks away.
“Alexis speaks English quite a lot, understands the rules of the game and talks to people.
“I think that was the best he had, and that’s why it was easy to adapt.”

And now, Spanish Outlet Defensa Central claims that “several intermediaries have informed Real Madrid that they have given Real Madrid approval to move the Mac Allister in 2026.”
In more detail, the report adds: “Xabi Alonso insists on signing the central midfielder. His situation in Liverpool has changed until he can leave Anfield for an offer of around 120 million euros, which is at least what various intermediaries have told Real Madrid.
“Of the five Liverpool games he has played this season, the Mac Allister only played half of 229/450. He hasn’t completed 90 minutes in any game yet.
“This trend suggests that the Alexis Mac Allister may not be that important for Arne Slot this season, and the intermediary immediately called Real Madrid to monitor what was going on in Anfield.
Another Spanish website, Fichajes, claims that Mac Allister’s teammate Gravenberch is Alonso’s “new wish” for Real Madrid and is “setting his sights” at the Netherlands International.
With Liverpool’s asking price clearly set at 75 million euros, Real Madrid considers Greygun Burch’s rating “affordable”, and Alonso sees him as a cornerstone of his system and a player who can make a difference in high stakes matches.
