Mr. Laritate (Bill Chott) and Mantooth (Sean Whalen) will both make appearances in Season 2. Amanda Tepe, who played several memorable roles throughout the series’ run, will also make an appearance in a Christmas-themed Season 2 episode of Wizards Beyond.
Last but certainly not least, Deadline also has an exclusive Season 2 teaser that sees Janice LeAnn Brown’s Billie transported to a strange dimension where she moments from the prior season are playing out in front of her. She shakes off the weirdness (she is a wizard, after all) and jumps through a mirror portal, followed by Max Matenko and Alkaio Thiele’s Milo and Roman Russo.
“Ready for what comes next?” Roman asks on the other side of the mirror, to which Milo replies: “A Russo is always ready.”
Watch the teaser above.
In Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, Billie grapples with the fact that being part of the Russo family might be more complicated than she thought — especially now that she’s not the only wizard in the house. Thanks to Roman and Milo’s new magical powers, Justin is now tasked with training three young wizardsfor the Family Wizard Competition. As the stakes rise inside and outside the family, a mysterious new threat emerges…one that could unravel the Russos forever.
Series stars who are returning for Season 2 are David Henrie (as Justin Russo), Janice LeAnn Brown (as Billie), Alkaio Thiele (as Roman Russo), Max Matenko (as Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (as Winter) and Mimi Gianopulos (as Giada Russo).
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place hails from Disney Branded Television. Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers, along with executive producers Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez and Henrie. The original Wizards of Waverly Place was created by Todd Greenwald.
