Ian Wright went on an incredibly passionate rant about how the “obsessed” journalist wanted Jude Bellingham to be a “humble fucking slave” and couldn’t stand a “happy fucking slave” who was so successful.
Bellingham has been in the headlines for the last three international breaks, mainly due to injury and subsequent lack of fitness, but after England’s 2-0 win over Albania, some nonsense was concocted to garner clicks for Bellingham.
It was claimed that Bellingham had refused to celebrate England’s second goal with Harry Kane before being substituted, and Wright began his unusually brilliant speech by exposing the claim as a “total fabrication”.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, he said: “His parents have kept him away from the Premier League, they have kept him away from journalists. They can’t have access to him through the club, they can’t taint the way Real Madrid think about him. They can’t have access to this guy.”
“This guy is an achiever, he goes out there and wins.
“It was a complete fabrication and a lie when they said Jude didn’t celebrate, so they’re trying to build on something because England qualified so easily. They need something to build on.
“I’m concerned about Jude simply because he’s someone they can’t control. Obviously coming from his actions at Euros, he’s saying, ‘I’m here, I’m black, I’m proud, I’m ready to go.’ And that atmosphere is something that some people can’t handle.”

“They’re not ready for a black superstar,” Wright claimed, and one particular journalist, who didn’t specifically name him, saw Bellingham’s success and “thinks he’s not a high-flying guy.”
“I’m British. You can’t hide that. When I was young people used to say, ‘Yeah, but you’re not really British,’ but yeah, I’m British. I don’t think they’re ready for a black superstar like that who moves the way Jude moves.

“Like I said, they can’t touch him. He goes out and performs and says, ‘Who else is there?’ For these people, that’s just too much luck.
“They love N’Golo Kante. He’s a humble black guy who is positive about what he does. I’m not saying he’s Uncle Tom or anything. That’s his personality. But when you get[Paul]Pogba and Bellingham, people don’t buy into that kind of energy.
“Guys like Jude scare these people because of the inspiration he gives. That’s what you’re taught as a black man. You just want to do the best you can and keep your head down and be a humble fucking slave. This is what draws from that kind of energy.”
“If you’re playing at that level and you don’t care about it, it scares certain people. This guy is so self-obsessed. He can’t watch a black guy do the same thing that Jude did and think he’s not some uppity bastard. That’s what it comes down to.”
can’t believe it. Ian Wright, you are the man.
