‘You’ Season 5 Gets Premiere Window On Netflix And Teaser Posters

Season 5 of You is lurking in the shadows.

Netflix has released teaser posters ahead of the fifth season in addition to confirming that the series finale will come out on the streamer in 2025.

The serial killer show starring Penn Badgley as main character Joe Goldberg, was renewed for a fifth and final season in March 2023. Badgley will reprise his role as the central killer, who has made the lives of many miserable and taken several victims throughout the previous four seasons.

Season 5, which is written and executive produced by showrunners Michael Foley and Justin Lo, will also star Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp and Griffin Matthews. Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau will also guest star as Detective Marquez, as Deadline reported exclusively.

Natasha Behnam (The Girls on the Bus), Pete Ploszek(Parks & Recreation), Tom Francis (Sunset Boulevard) and b (Station 19) are set for recurring roles.

Executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Penn Badgley, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, Marcos Siega and Neil Reynolds. The studio is Warner Bros, Television.

Sera Gamble stepped down after helming the first four seasons to focus on other projects. She still serves as an executive producer on the show.

Production on Season 5 wrapped in August 2024. Based on Carolie Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name, Season 4 of the psychological drama was set in London, where Joe masked his trail with the disguise of Jonathan Moore, an English professor. He stalked Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle) around Europe.

Other former stars of You include Zach Cherry (Severance), Jenna Ortega (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Wednesday) and Ed Speelers as Rhys.

Below find the two teaser posters released so far, which contain newspaper clippings of Joe’s former victims like Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), Adam Pratt (Lukas Gage) Benjamin Ashby III, Malcolm H. Dr. Nicky, Tom Lockwood, Delila Alves, Nadia Farran.

One looks to be a type of shadow box containing guilty treasures, like what looks to be a journal, heart-shaped sunglasses, teeth, a nice watch, a ring, a library index bookmark and Guinevere’s book The Dark Face of Love.
