Disgruntled YouTube TV subscribers who miss ESPN, ABC, and other Disney networks for a week or more will receive a $20 credit toward their next billing statement.
Variety first reported the credit, and a YouTube spokesperson confirmed the news to TechCrunch. The company says the credit is currently being rolled out and subscribers will receive an email with instructions on how to apply.
Disney Channel pulled out of the subscription TV service on October 31st. YouTube says those channels will be reinstated within hours if an agreement is reached. Like similar disputes, this one appears to revolve around pricing, with YouTube criticizing Disney’s supposed price hikes and Disney saying YouTube “refuses to pay a fair price for our channel.”
The last dispute between the subscription TV service and Disney was in 2022, when YouTube TV ended up offering customers a $15 credit after one day of Disney programming was removed.
