EXCLUSIVE: Popular digital content creator Max Goodrich has launched Lovely Weather, a production company that will continue his mission of creating smart, funny content worth sharing, as he expands into film and TV.
Goodrich describes Lovely Weather as a creative studio that will push the boundaries of digital media, blending comedy, storytelling, and cultural insight to create everything from viral social videos to campaigns, and soon, original films and TV shows. He comes to launch the company after years of shaping some of the most recognizable videos in digital media, collaborating with the likes of Will Smith, Drake, Mr. Beast, Courtney Cox, Benny Blanco and The Jonas Brothers.
Boasting 538K subscribers on YouTube, along with 331K followers on Instagram and 494.7K on TikTok, Goodrich’s creative touch has been sought after by global brands such as Google, Apple, the NFL, Verizon, Audible, and MasterClass, to name a few. His work has also been recognized by The Webby Awards, The Streamy Awards, and Tribeca X.
“I started making content online simply because I wanted to make people laugh,” he told us. “What began as a personal creative outlet slowly turned into a business – and over the past 10+ years, I’ve had the chance to work with brands, celebrities, and clients I never imagined I’d get to collaborate with.”
In the view of the creator, “There’s enough content people scroll past,” the strength of his work being the creation of “stuff you actually send to your group chat.”
In 2019, Goodrich received a message from Lukas Kaiser, the Head of Content at Smith’s Westbrook, after seeing a video he made around the time he was considering a career change and a move back to the east coast. Shortly after, he became an integral part of creating skits and viral moments for Smith and the Westbrook team, from Smith’s return to Instagram in 2020 to Bad Boys promotion alongside Martin Lawrence.
Not long after collaborating with Smith, Cox reached out to Goodrich directly, leading to a three-year relationship of content creation and viral moments around her home care company, Homecourt. During this time, Goodrich also helped build Marshmello’s TikTok presence to over 25 million followers with over 200 million likes, creating content that highlighted the masked DJ’s persona.
Goodrich famously edited himself into footage of Drake partying at a club in 2023, seeing the video go viral with 50M views and spark a collaboration with the artist. Most recently, he was tapped to hosted the Hollywood Music Video Awards, which took place on April 5.
