America’s Got Talent is celebrating 20 seasons and 20 years of discovering talent, and the celebratory trailer showcases some of the acts from the past.
The NBC talent show premieres on Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET, and the preview gives a nod to some of the winners, like ventriloquist Terry Fator (Season 2), singer Kodi Lee (Season 14), singer Grace VanderWaal (Season 11), ventriloquist Darci Lynne (Season 12), singer Richard Goodall (Season 19), among many others.
“Two minutes could change your life,” judge Simon Cowell says in the trailer. “We’re still here 20 years later, who knows what’s going to happen next.”
For the 20th season, judge Howie Mandel says, “We want bigger, better than we’ve ever seen before.”
Returning for Season 20, singer Jessica Sanchez returns to the AGT stage to showcase her talent once again, to which judge Sofía Vergara says, “This was a very special moment.”
The trailer also shows the first look at Mel B’s return to the judging panel, taking over the chair for Heidi Klum. Mel B first joined the show in Season 8 alongside Howard Stern, Mandel, and Klum and remained a judge until Season 13.
The epic celebration 20 seasons in the making, is hosted by Terry Crews. The Got Talent format has had more than a billion global viewers since it began airing in 2006 in America and has aired in 194 territories worldwide.
Got Talent holds the Guinness World Records title as the Most Successful Reality Television Format, with more than 70 local versions produced across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
Furthermore, Got Talent has seen success with several global brand extensions, including “Champions,” “All-Stars” and “Fantasy League.”
