EXCLUSIVE: UTA on Monday morning announced its signing of Scottish stand-up comic Connor Burns for representation in Comedy Touring for North America.
A rising star in the UK comedy scene, Burns shot to prominence with his debut solo show Vertigo, selling over 10,000 tickets at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival ahead of the tour’s official on-sale. The tour spanned 40 dates across the UK and Burns expanded the run with eight more shows due to high demand.
Burns completed a six-week run in Australia, where he closed the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the iconic Sydney Opera House and taped a set for Just for Laughs. He also made his off-Broadway debut in New York and opened for fellow Scot Daniel Sloss across three continents.
Burns’ first comedy special, Vertigo, released only days ago via the 800 Pound Gorilla comedy label. The special is a punchline-packed debut that sees the comic musing on submarines, aging knees, relationships, and inevitable family drama. Check it out in full on YouTube here.
Burns continues to be repped worldwide by Marlene Zwickler of Marlene Zwickler & Associates.
