Hulu has rallied Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe to co-host its new reality dating show for virgins.
Are You My First? is set to premiere Aug. 18 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. Originally dubbed Virgin Island, the reality show was first picked up last year from ITV America (Love Island USA, Queer Eye) and Plimsoll Productions. The name has changed but the concept has not.
Here’s the official logline: “In this groundbreaking new dating experiment, the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled search for intimacy, love – and maybe their first – in a tropical paradise designed just for them. For the first time, they’re free to explore their connections without judgment, allowing these sexy young singles to embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey packed with romantic dates, revealing challenges, and new love interests eager to find “the one.” Who will find that special someone? And who will go home hot, bothered and heartbroken?”
Underwood is best known for his stints as The Bachelorette, during which he declared he was a virgin, and on Bachelor in Paradise. In 2021, Underwood starred in Coming Out Colton, a docuseries about his life as a “gay man in the public eye.”
Bristowe was on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. She also won the Mirrorball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars.
Evecutive producers on Are You My First? are Peter Geist, David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, James Barker, Grant Mansfield, Karen Plumb and Alan Eyres. German Abraca and Kendall Elrod serve as co-executive producers.
