John Stamos is returning to the Iron Man universe. Stamos, who voiced the role of Iron Man (aka Tony Stark) in the hit series Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends, will take on the voice of Tony’s father, Howard Stark, in Marvel’s new preschool series Iron Man and his Awesome Friends.
Additionally, joining the series in guest roles are Jackée Harry (227), ESPN sportscaster Jessica Mendoza, Stephen Tobolowsky (Freakier Friday), Lauren Tom (King of the Hill), Gary Anthony Williams (Night Court) and Mo Collins.
The series is set to premiere August 11 on Disney Jr. (8:30 a.m. ET/PT) and later that day on Disney Channel. The first 10 episodes will be available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets and Disney Jr. on Demand the following day, Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses — Tony Stark (Iron Man), Riri Williams (Ironheart) and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk) (Aidyn Ahn)— as they work together to solve problems, both big and small, and protect their city. In order to help them save the day, the Iron Friends each have their own Iron Suits that allow them to fly and give them enhanced super-strength.
Mason Blomberg stars as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams (Ironheart), Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk), Tony Hale as Ultron, Vanessa Bayer as Swarm, and Talon Warburton as Absorbing Man.
Mendoza will play Dottie Doubleday, the friendly owner of Dottie Doubleday’s Batting Cages; Harry is Granny Williams, Riri’s spunky grandmother who owns a mobile pie truck; Tobolowsky is Spencer Q. Sweets, the owner of the coolest candy shop in town; Tom plays Helen Cho, Amadeus’ enthusiastic and loving mother, and Williams and Collins are Nuts and Bolts, two of Ultron’s hilarious henchbots.

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus wrote and performed the series theme song, “Totally Awesome.” Matthew Margeson is the series’ composer. The series is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.
Harry, who also will guest star in Season 2 of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside, is repped by Metropolitan Talent Agency and manager Bob McGowan.
Tobolowsky next will be seen on the film side in Freakier Friday. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and Framework Entertainment.
Tom also will reprise her role as Connie in the upcoming King of the Hill revival. She is repped by Gersh and Pop Art Management.
Williams also is among the voice cast for Marvel Animation’s new series, Eyes of Wakanda at Disney+. He’s repped by IAG and El Centro Management.
Collins, whose recents credits include a series regular role on Fear the Walking Dead, is repped by Zero Gravity Management and Innovative Artists.
