If the Trump Administration’s unsubtle snipe at Joy Behar this week was meant to quiet The View cohost, the mission was not accomplished. Although Behar didn’t address the snipe directly, she certainly didn’t ease up on Trump or the Epstein files scandal.
“The tide is turning, the tide is turning,” Behar said referring to the many MAGA formerly faithful who are expressing displeasure over Donald Trump‘s newly dismissive attitude of the Epstein files. “I mean, the ultimate irony would be that Rupert Murdoch will take him down. Fox News, who created the monster, will take him down. Marjorie Taylor Green said that she doesn’t accept Trump’s handling of the Epstein case…Tucker Carlson, Steven Bannon, Charlie Kirk, Joe Rogan, even the Q Anon Shaman is now calling him a fraud and a piece of whatever.
“Now that,” she continued, “is interesting to me, and worth watching the news now because I want to see how this all plays out.”
During today’s Hot Topics segment, the View cohosts addressed last night’s Wall Street Journal report that Trump’s name is allegedly mentioned repeatedly in the so-called Epstein files.
Earlier this week, after The View cohosts spoke about Trump’s claim that Barack Obama and his team was guilty of treason for conspiring to alter intelligence assessments to suggest Russia was working to get Trump elected in 2016.
“First of all,” Behar said Wednesday, “who tried to overthrow the government on January 6th? Who was that again?” She then said, “The thing about him is he is so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not. Trim. Smart. Handsome. Happily married. And can sing Al Green’s song ‘Let’s Stay Together’ better than Al Green.”
White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers shot back, “Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s no surprise that The View’s ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.”
Trump has been crowing lately over CBS’ decision to cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, writing on his Truth Social that ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel “is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone. These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!”
