Newcastle United reportedly identified two Premier League strikers as alternatives to Yoan Wissa after Brentford “closed the door” at the exit this summer.
Eddie Howe wants to add a new striker between his current windows, regardless of Alexander Isaac’s future at the club.
Isak reportedly wants to explore his options amid interest from Liverpool.
Sesko has been identified as a direct replacement for Isak, and if the Slovenians are signed, he will arrive alongside another centre forward.
It appears Wissa is unlikely to join Newcastle after Brentford tells Magpies to pay £50 million or leave. The 28-year-old is reportedly furious, and previously promised he could leave the summer for £26 million.
Brentford’s attitude changed after Brian Mbeumo was sold to Manchester United, and Wissa is now said to have refused training after he felt that he was a broken promise.

With Brentford significantly increasing its asking price, Newcastle is already exploring alternatives, including Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson, which includes daily email journalist Craig Hope.
Hope reports that Newcastle boss howe wants Isaac to stay and sign a new contract, but the striker camp believes he deserves twice his current £150,000 wage.
Isaac is hoping to join Liverpool and Wissa’s contract, with Newcastle “added Jackson to his list of attack targets,” and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins “in their thoughts.”
I am writing my wish:
Hau wants to stay with him. He hopes the player will sign a new contract and that he will be rewarded with a worthy salary check and return to being a happy man. But the manager knows that it probably won’t happen, so at least as if it stands – he must manage with realism, not blind optimism.
As for Isaac, there will always be days when the stars were too bright for Newcastle’s orbit, and the clubs are likely unable to meet their brightest asteroid salary expectations. He currently earns around £150,000 a week, and he believes his camp is twice as valuable.
Alternative? Sell at premium and reinvest. It can be revealed that Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson has been added to the list of attacking targets. Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa is also thinking about it.
Brentford’s Joane Wissa’s contract is not yet dead, and players are threatening to continue on strike to force the move, while investigations of RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesco have been undertaken.
Meanwhile, the French newspaper L’équipe reports that the newly promoted Saudi Arabian Neom SC is interested in signing Wissa from Brentford.
They need to meet a large valuation of bees, but they can do so financially. Like Newcastle, Neom is owned by a Saudi Arabian public investment fund.
Jacobs said the Brentford star “want to stay in the Premier League,” but Neom is reportedly “confident in completing his contract quickly.”
