The bullhorn used by Sunset Blvd. star Nicole Scherzinger last week when a matinee performance of the Broadway musical was canceled due to a sound system glitch was put to further good use over the weekend when it was auctioned off for charity.
The bullhorn, through which Scherzinger serenaded the audience with the show’s “With One Look” when last Wednesday’s matinee was canceled, raised $7,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Sunset Blvd. composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and director Jamie Lloyd joined the cast onstage for the auction following Friday night’s performance.
Lloyd Webber also made a surprise appearance at the start of Friday’s second act when live video captures actor Tom Francis walking through the dressing rooms of the St. James Theatre.
Video of Scherzinger singing through the white and red bullhorn went viral last week. Watch the video below.
The auction was led by Sunset Blvd. cast member Pierre Marais.
Sunset Blvd. is playing at the St. James through Sunday, July 13.
