Los Angeles police have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of longtime American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca, who were found Monday shot to death in their Encino home.
LAPD identified the suspect as Raymond Boodarian, 22, of Encino.
West Valley Division officers received a radio call for a welfare check in the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue. The person reporting had not heard from the resident for several days. Police made entry into the residence and discovered both victims dead.
According to police, homicide investigators interviewed friends and family, reviewed numerous surveillance videos and recovered evidence of a homicide at scene. It was discovered that a prior radio call had been generated for a possible burglary suspect at the residence on July 10, 2025, around 4 p.m. While there were no signs of forced entry or trouble at the location during that investigation, LAPD now believes that the suspect had gained entry into the residence through an unlocked door. The victims returned home while the suspect was inside their residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the double homicide. Kaye and Deluca, both 70, died of gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot.
