Known for male-driven tentpoles like Reacher, The Boys, Jack Ryan, Cross and Road House, Prime Video also has been building a female fan base with such hit series and movies as The Idea of You and YA staples The Summer I Turned Pretty, Maxton Hall and Culpables.
The streamer is now spotlighting its current and upcoming slate of female-driven titles with a marketing campaign showcasing women creators, showrunners, and stars across different genres. It is anchored by a 90-second video set to the song of the moment for promos, Alex Warren’s ubiquitous “Ordinary.”
The trailer, which you can watch above, features titles including The Better Sister, Another Simple Favor, We Were Liars, Motorheads, Overcompensating, and more.
“This campaign shines a spotlight on the stories, creators, and characters that speak to women in powerful, personal ways,” said Sue Kroll, Head of Marketing, Amazon MGM Studios. “From exclusive new trailers and curated carousels to immersive experiences and cultural moments, we’re showing up with intention, inviting women to see themselves on screen, in every genre, every mood, and come every day to experience it on Prime Video.”
The campaign will span Prime Video, social media and events, including a VIP industry luncheon on June 11 at the Crosby Hotel in New York City.
