EXCLUSIVE: Robert Luketic has signed with Paradigm for representation.
With a filmography grossing over $1 billion globally, Luketic is an Australian-American director known for his vibrant storytelling and collaborations with Hollywood’s leading talent. His debut feature, Legally Blonde (2001), starring Reese Witherspoon, was a critical and commercial success that grossed over $140 million worldwide and earned two Golden Globe nominations.
Luketic flexed his versatility in films like Monster-in-Law (2005), a comedic clash starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda, and 21 (2008), a darker, suspenseful drama based on the true story of MIT students exploiting Las Vegas casinos, featuring a cast led by Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, and Jim Sturgess. He focused on chemistry-driven storytelling in The Ugly Truth (2009), led by Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, and balanced humour with action in Killers (2010), a reteaming with Heigl and featuring Ashton Kutcher in a tale of espionage.
In Paranoia (2013), he tackled corporate espionage, putting Liam Hemsworth together with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman in a thriller that delved into tech rivalries. He returned to his comedic roots with The Wedding Year (2019), a romantic comedy about modern relationships starring Sarah Hyland and Tyler James Williams.
Next, he will direct Forte Corp Pictures’ Resurface, a survival thriller set in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean floor, from a screenplay by Pete Bridges (Deep Water).
