Samsung Launches “Broad-FAST” TV Network As Home For Big-Tent Programming

-

Samsung, which is already leading the field in volume of FAST channels, is introducing a new broadcast network-style mother ship to anchor the strategy.

Samsung Television Network, unveiled Tuesday at Samsung Ads’ NewFronts presentation in New York, is billed as “the broad-FAST channel of the future.” The network will be the exclusive home of the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming tour and will also feature live sports offerings and library fare including David Letterman and Conan O’Brien late-night episodes and library standouts like Killing Eve.

Letterman appeared in person at the NewFronts event to talk about his new channel for Samsung, Letterman TV. In all, 6,000 episodes of his CBS late-night show, produced by his company, Worldwide Pants, will appear on the channel. During a typically discursive and dry 10 minutes onstage, Letterman said he had been concerned about clips of the late-night show “free-fallin’ through the internet.” The agreement with Samsung “is making it possible to have them all in one place.” The channel features an abstract logo with Letterman’s signature beard and glasses. Asked about the logo, he joked, “When I first saw it, I said, ‘that guy looks pretty cool. Oh, wait – that’s me.’”

Like connected-TV peers Vizio and Roku, Samsung, the top maker of smart TVs, is enhancing its offerings of originals and exclusive programming and also trying to serve as a one-stop-shop in a cluttered streaming world for both consumers and advertisers.

“We’re not just following viewer trends—we’re shaping them,” said Salek Brodsky, SVP and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus. “Through deep insights and personalized curation, we’re delivering the content audiences love in an unbeatable format. We’re rewriting the rules of streaming and teaming up with A-list talent to bring exclusive entertainment to the biggest screen in the home.”

In part due to the surge in programming, viewership on Samsung TV Plus has risen 30% in 2025 to date, the company said.

At the NewFront, Samsung TV Plus said it is also betting big on the creator space, highlighting an exclusive deal with Mark Rober. Also joining the service are Michelle Khare, Smosh, The Try Guys, Epic Gardening, The Sorry Girls, and Donut Media to bring new offerings across comedy, DIY, gardening, cars, and sustainability.

Deadline sister media outlet Billboard is also getting into FAST via Samsung. This new network will feature red carpet and inside access to more than 25 events year-round, including the Golden Globes (also part of the PMC portfolio) and the MTV Awards.

On the sports front, Samsung TV Plus operates 50 channels with live local and national games from major and minor leagues. New sports channels include Bally Sports Live with exclusive Minor League Baseball games and in-season NHL games from the Anaheim Ducks and the Dallas Stars with Victory+.
