EXCLUSIVE: Charlie B. Foster is set to recur in Scarpetta, Amazon Prime’s upcoming thriller featuring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis.
The actor, who is Jodie Foster‘s son, has already filmed three of four episodes. He plays Wingo, an assistant in the morgue.
Based on Patricia Cornwell’s hit book series, the series follows Kay Scarpetta (Kidman), the Chief Medical Examiner, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy (Curtis), with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover.
Foster joins previously announced cast members Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen, Jake Cannavale (“Past Pete Marino”), Ariana DeBose and Hunter Parrish.
Foster is set to appear in the upcoming features Sparks and Soyboy. His previous credits include The Garcias and The Ha Festival, both for HBO, as well as podcasts like Popcorn for Dinner (Apple), The Coldest Case (Audible) and Supreme (iheart).
Kidman is executive producing Scarpetta for Blossom Films, while Curtis is EPing for Comet Pictures. Liz Sarnoff writes, executive produces, and serves as showrunner. Cornwell executive produces for P & S Projects alongside Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, and Chris McCumber for Blumhouse Television and Per Saari for Blossom Films.
David Gordon Green and Amy Sayres also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Blumhouse Television and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Blossom Films and Comet Pictures.
Foster is repped by Luber-Roklin Entertainment and Zoom Talent.
