Take That and Jeff Goldlum are to perform at the BAFTA Film Awards later this month.
Take That will sing ‘Greatest Day’, the chart-topping single that features prominently in Sean Baker’s Anora, which is up for a wealth of awards including best film, best director and best actress.
Goldblum, meanwhile, will exhibit one of many talents by taking to the piano during the In Memoriam section.
He is off the back of playing the Wizard of Oz in hit movie Wicked, which is also nominated in multiple categories. When not acting, Goldblum performs in a jazz band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
The BAFTAs take place on April 25. Hosted by David Tennant, the BAFTAs take place in just 11 days time, Conclave and the controversial Emilia Pérez lead the way with 12 and 11 nominations respectively.
Best Film nominees at the BAFTAs comprise Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave and Emilia Pérez. This year’s awards race has been described as an open one. Each of the five nominated BAFTA Best Film contenders does feel in with a shout of victory. But the race has also now largely coalesced around these five nominees alongside musical Wicked, whose omission from the best film lineup may raise some eyebrows, particularly in the U.S. where the film is considered an Oscar Best Film nominee shoo-in.
