The Chrisleys, or at least some of them, are heading back to the small screen.
Lifetime has ordered a series on the family, coming after parents Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to many years in prison.
The untitled series will follow members of the family including Savannah and Chase Chrisley, who are executive producers of the show.
The show, which is set to premiere later this year, will see the kids face the challenges of carrying on the Chrisley name and legacy after their parents were locked up. While Savannah maintains custody of her younger siblings, Chloe and Grayson, she has been fighting for a Presidential pardon to free her parents. Meanwhile, Chase is addressing some life struggles while building his new business and navigating his relationship with girlfriend Jodi. It will also feature includes Todd’s mother Nanny Faye and Julie’s parents Harvey and Pam.
It comes from Bunim/Murray Productions and is evidently a different project that a similar one that Scout Productions was developing in 2023, not long after the incarceration.
Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years plus 16 months probation and wife Julie got seven years in prison plus 16 months probation.
Todd Chrisley got a lighter sentence than expected with guidelines suggesting he could get up to 22 years in prison and his wife could have been sentenced to more than 12 years after being found guilty in June of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million of fraudulent loans, as well as a number of tax crimes, including conspiring to defraud the IRS and tax evasion. Julie Chrisley was found guilty of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.
The family starred on Chrisley Knows Best, which ran for nine seasons on USA Network before being canceled in 2022. There were also spinoffs including Growing Up Chrisley, which followed Chase and Savannah and ran for three seasons on USA Network and one season on E! These shows were produced by All3Media’s Maverick TV.
Julie Pizzi, Farnaz Farjam, Jesse Daniels and Rit Saraswat will exec produce alongside Savannah and Chase Chrisley as well as Brie Miranda Bryant and Nicole Vogel for Lifetime.
