EXCLUSIVE: Following her directorial debut on the critically-acclaimed Blink Twice, Zoë Kravitz looks to have found her next helming gig as sources tell Deadline Kravitz is in talks to direct How To Save A Marriage for Sony Pictures. Ross Evans penned the script with Robert Pattinson producing along with partner Brighton McCloskey via their Icki Eneo Arlo banner will join as producer along with Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg via Entertainment 360.
Plot details are being kept under wraps and studio sources add the project is still early development. Evans will also exec produce. Insiders say the deal was in the seven figure range with several other suitors in the mix.
Insiders add that the film is still in early development and as of right now Pattinson is only producing the pic. Sony is very high on the project and were aggressive in pursuing it when it hit the market. This marked a huge sale to a major studio for Evans at the time and showed studios interest in high-profile packages following the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes resolving.
While plot details are unknown, sources say the film has the those edgy undertones similar to Blink Twice that made that film work so well and added to the execs appeal when making the decision to tap Kravitz as director.
While Kravitz is still extremely busy on the acting front, she showcased how talented she is as a director last summer with the release of Blink Twice. Starring Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum, the film earned strong reviews and put Kravitz on the map of rising stars in the directing arena.
On the acting front, she can be seen next opposite Austin Butler in the Darren Aronofsky thriller Caught Stealing, which bows this fall.
She is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.
