EXCLUSIVE: Actor and Director Simon Baker has signed with Gersh for representation.
Baker won international acclaim in the television series The Mentalist which screened in over 130 countries and garnered him Best Actor nominations for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. His film credits include the 1997 Academy Award-winning film, L.A. Confidential, The Devil Wears Prada and Margin Call.
Baker has had himself quite the. 2024 and his 2025 looks to remain busy as he is currently shooting the Amazon Series, Scarpetta, alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ariana DeBose. He also recently wrapped production on Klara And the Sun from Taika Waititi in the can at Sony opposite Jenna Ortega, Amy Adams, and Natasha Lyonne. Additionally, he will soon be seen opposite Jacob Elordi in the Sony limited series, The Narrow Road To The Deep North directed by Justin Kurzel.
His most recent credits include the leading role in the critically acclaimed Ivan Sen directed film Limbo. The film premiered in competition at the Berlin Film Festival in 2023, also screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in the same year. Baker won for Best Actor at the Australian Film Critics Association awards, and the Film Critics Circle Awards in 2024, and was also nominated for Best Actor at the AACTA awards in the same year. His most recent television appearance was in the Netflix series Boy Swallows Universe, based on the semi-autobiographical Australian novel of the same name by Trent Dalton. Shortly after its release Netflix announced the series as the most successful Australian-made show yet, with 8 million series views in its first two weeks globally on the platform.
He also recently teamed up with Made Up Stories and Lee-Anne Higgins to develop an adaptation of the Emily Perkins novel Lioness.
